  6. Dollar Tree has $1 kitchen towels that would work and not have the static in them (kind of a linen/cotton fabric). LOVE the ribbon!

  7. Be careful with some of the $store towels, bought a couple to do w/magnets on them for my daughters and they shrunk and squished up really small. They appeared to be like the ones I have that don't squish up and need to be ironed ... they are okay for just drying dishes on but wouldn't work for apron unless you love to iron. :-(
I love the idea though, using a towel, I'm always drying my hands on the aprons anyway. Thanks

  8. Thanks for the wonderful idea. My daughter and many of her friends are really into aprons right now. These will make great stocking stuffers for them. I am going to add pockets to mine and a ruffle trim. Reminds me of the "Leave it to Beaver" days; which these mid-20 young women seem to be very into (the look anyway) Now.........where are my pearls?

  9. hey kids, aprons are the in thing this year. and don't forget the men!!!!!!. make them grilling aprons for fathers day. write something
hot on it like, smokin' hot and seasoned to perfection. use fabric paint or iron on letters, you can find them at joann fabrics.

  11. Cute apron....fabric stores such as Jo Ann's has iron on lettering that can be used for initials.

  15. Just joined this website and love it.
Apron is cute and I am going to try it but I am going to put a few tucks in it (I will sew rather than glue, but I am sure you could glue the tucks as well) to make it a little more feminine. Thanks for the idea.

  16. Have just come across your page from the AllFreeSewing newsletter and I just love this apron. I already have some of the microfibre t-towels that I got from a Poundstore (I'm across the pond in the UK) and, being a crafter, I have tons of ribbon so will whip up a few of these for Xmas gifts x Thank you x

  17. Great idea - I am always looking for a towel to wipe my hands on when cooking! I agree - I think a regular towel would be better - and I think it will look nice with just a little gathering on the edge with the band... Might help a little with the cling of a microfiber towel.

  18. Just thought I add my two cents....If you have a cricut, cut out the letter M then place it on a piece of material then use that paper that has "glue" on the other side, and iron it on the back of the letter M then peel off and iron the letter right on your apron. your done!

Like your apron, it's very cute...think I'll make one for my daughter with her initial.
